Venkatesh Iyer who has caught the attention of BCCI with his brilliant performance in the second leg of IPL 2021 for KKR has got the opportunity to represent India in the recently completed home T20 series with New Zealand. After witnessing his skill with both bat and ball, team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid is keen to groom him as a perfect all-rounder.
Well, this young man is in prime form. He has been phenomenal in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021-22. Mr Iyer scored 151 against Chandigarh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He came at No 4 when Madhya Pradesh was 56/4 from 13.4 overs. He scored 151 runs in 113 balls.

In the Vijay Hazare Trophy so far, Iyer scored two centuries and a fifty in four matches. And he got these numbers while playing at different positions.
As per sports analyst CricCrazy Johns, In the first match, he scored 14 runs in just five balls. He came in 47th over. In the second match, Iyer 112 runs in 84 balls while batting at No 4, 71(49) in the second match batting at 5th position, 151(113) in today’s match at Chandigarh playing at no 6.
As per the reports, he will be selected for the ODI series against South Africa.
