Yashasvi Jaiswal's century gives RR an easy victory over MI

Rajasthan Royals, RR, have been terrific this season IPL 2024, with their consistency in beating big sides. At Jaipur, they have changed their fortunes from previous seasons to become unbeatable. After the heartbreak from previous season, they seem to have learnt their lessons and have been able to perform as a team and they have beaten MI, rather easily at their home ground, Jaipur.

Earlier, Mumbai Indians – MI, have won the toss and elected to bat first. They wanted to score big and put pressure on RR batting line-up. But they found themselves reeling behind as Sandeep Sharma and Trent Boult got their big three in the powerplay itself. Tilak Varma(65) showcased maturity to salvage the situation for MI.

Even though rain hit the game, RR did not lose overs and they scored 183/1 in 18.4 overs to win the match by 9 wickets.

RR have secured their place in playoffs almost with 7 wins from 8 matches and 14 points, thereby. They seem unstoppable at this moment and they need only one more win to qualify. There is a high chance of them being the first team to qualify as well. On the other hand, MI need to win all their next matches to be in contention.
