Stock Markets have crashed on 12th April on Eid

Stock Markets After a session with huge gains on 10th April, indices have ended up with huge losses on Friday post Eid holiday on 12th April 2024. Investors sold off their gains due to US inflation rate announcement. International Stock Markets ended with mixed results and it also led to crash. Hence, BSE lost 793.25 points to close at 74,244.90 and Nifty lost 234.40 points to close at 22,519.40 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading at 74,889.64 and then continued to trade between 74,951.88 – 74,189.31. Index started the session below previous closing and it never looked like trading above 75,000 mark, again like previous sessions. With such huge selling pressure, BSE ended the trading session at 74,244.90 by losing 793.25 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,677.40 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,726.45. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,503.75. Investors did not find any sort of confidence to invest in big stocks. From the opening bell to closing bell, index kept trading in red. Hence, Nifty50 ended by losing 234.40 points on 22,519.40.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.47 against US Dollar on 12th April 2024. Except for Tata Motors, TCS, Nestle India all stocks have ended losing their value during this session. Traders are now closely observing the International inflation rates after US rates did not turn up as anticipated. After such a crash, we have to wait and see how Stock Markets will react on Monday.
