Stock Markets maintained their gains on 23rd April, 2024. Investors have oscillated between selling off their holds and investing in big stocks. Gains in International Stock Markets gave them huge boost but at highs, selling pressure as curbed the markets. Still indices maintained gains and BSE gained 89.84 points to close at 73,738.45 mark and Nifty gained 31.60 points to close at 22,368.00 mark.
BSE Sensex started trading at 74,048.94 and then continued to trade between 73,688.31 – 74,059.89. Index started above 74,000 mark and continued to trade around the same mark. But then it dipped mid-session due to selling pressure in big stocks and then recovered slightly. Hence, BSE ended the trading session at 73,738.45 by gaining 89.84 points.
Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,447.05 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,447.55. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,349.45. Index never really took off from the starting mark of the session. It did trade in gains throughout but oscillated a lot due to selling pressure from investors. Still, Nifty50 ended the session by gaining 31.60 points on 22,368.00.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.33 against US Dollar on 23rd April 2024. Bharti Airtel, Nestle India, Maruthi Suzuki, HCL Technology, Tata Motors have ended as Top Gainers in this session. Sun Pharma, Reliance, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Finance shares have ended as Top Losers. Stock Markets have been successful in maintaining gains but trends are not so encouraging for upcoming sessions.
