Stock Markets Update: Banking sector performs exceptionally

Stock Markets have registered good gains for 5th consecutive session

Stock Markets after starting with huge losses recovered mid-session to register huge gains on 25th April. Investors did not find any kind of inspiration to invest in stocks, early in the morning. International Stock Markets also ended with losses but banking sector stocks performed towards the end. Hence, BSE gained 486.50 points to close at 74,339.44 and Nifty gained 167.95 points to close at 22,570.35 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading at 73,572.34 and then continued to trade between 73,556.15 – 74,571.25. Index started at huge losses early in the morning. Till mid-session, the big stocks have been among losses. At the lowest point, banking stocks attracted investments and finally, after long time it crossed 74,300 mark. Hence, BSE ended the trading session at 74,339.44 by gaining 486.50 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,316.90 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,625.95. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,305.25. Index has started below the previous closing with losses. Big stocks, mainly, Banking stocks attracted huge investments at lowest point. Hence, Nifty50 to end the session by gaining 167.95 points on 22,570.35.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.31 against US Dollar on 25th April 2024. Axis Bank, SBI, JSW Steel, Nestle India, ITC shares have become Top Gainers. Kotak Mahindra Bank(10% loss), HUL, Titan, Bajaj Finance, Maruthi Suzuki shares have ended up being Top Losers. Among all Kotak Mahindra Bank has lost huge in this session of Stock Markets and it pushed indices down in the morning time.
