IPL 2024: RCB gets their second win by defeating SRH

RCB all smiles after second win in IPL 2024

RCB have been performing better since last few seasons compared to their abysmal performances before that. In IPL 2024, they did not look like a team in form at any moment and lost 6 matches back to back till date. Now, in their 9th match of the season, they came together in batting and bowling to defeat hard-hitting SRH.

RCB have won the toss and elected to bat first. By batting first, SRH batters have been able to score more than 250 (thrice) and they have been restricting opponents near to the target with their limited bowling. This time, RCB asked them to bat second which they failed to pull off against KKR but done well against CSK. SRH needed RCB to be restricted below 180 for an easy win.

In the chase, SRH lost Travis Head(1), Aiden Markram(7) and Heinrich Klaasen(7) very early. This left them on the backfoot and no other batter could really step up.
