Stock Markets crashed further after previous two sessions on 16th April, 2024. Investors did not find any kind of respite after two sessions of losses. International Stock Markets ended up with huge losses and mainly, IT stocks lost the most. On the whole, BSE lost 456.10 points to close at 72,943.68 and Nifty lost 124.60 points to close at 22,147.90 mark.
BSE Sensex started trading at 72,892.14 and then continued to trade between 73,135.43 – 72,685.03. Index started below 73,000 mark for the first time in weeks and continued to trade below the mark. It recovered slightly one hour before closing but still, BSE ended the trading session at 72,943.68 by losing 456.10 points.
Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,125.30 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,213.75. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,079.45. Index started off low and it continued to slide down to hit its lowest. It recovered a bit and again slid down. Hence, Nifty50 ended by losing 124.60 points on 22,147.90.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.61 against US Dollar on 16th April 2024. Titan, Hindustan Unilever, HDFC Bank, Maruthi Suzuki, Powergrid Corporation shares have ended as Top Gainers in this session. Infosys, IndusInd Bank, Wipro, HCL Technology, Bajaj Finserv shares have ended as Top Losers. Unless International situations stabilize it is hard for Stock Markets to recover at this moment.
