Indian Cricketer Rishabh Pant has met with an accident near at 5:30 am near Mohammadpur Jat under Kotwali Mangalore area of Roorkee, on Delhi – Dehradun highway. The CCTV footage has shown him over speeding and his car caught fire. Local people have helped Rishabh Pant after the accident and took him to the hospital. Rishabh Pant was alone in his car Mercedes-AMG GLE43 Coupe, when it hit the divider railings, early in the morning of 30th December.

BCCI has announced that the young cricketer has been shifted to ICU. Local cops have opined that Rishabh Pant was lucky to survive, the accident with few injuries. He sustained injuries on his legs, wrist, back and cuts on forehead, ligament tear in his knee. Police have told in their statement that Rishabh Pant was driving to his home in Roorke, to surprise his mother and spend New Year with his family. They stated that he dozed off while driving and hence, the accident occurred.

Looking at the images of damages to the car, burnt condition, Indian cricket fans are praying and wishing for speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant. The initial scans and X-rays have revealed that he did not have any fractures. Doctors have stated that they would be treating him for trauma and shock from the head injuries. Rishabh Pant has been an important part of Indian Test Team from past 4 years and he played some classic innings to record great wins for India. On the other hand, his ODI and T20I form has declined and he lost his place in the squad for Sri Lanka ODIs and T20Is.
