On Wednesday morning, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the Kanpur Metro trial run. CM Yogi then inspected the facilities available on the Metro Rail platform. Afterwards, CM Yogi Adityanath travelled on Metro rail.
The Metro Trial Run program was held at the Metro Depot at the Government Polytechnic. The Kanpur Metro rail will be launched for passengers from 31st December. The CM laid the foundation stone for the Metro Rail works on 15th November 2019.
In just two years, a 9 km long metro rail line was built. A 32.5 km long corridor will be constructed as part of the Kanpur Metro project.
