Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates New Parliament Building

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took the Sengol from pandits and placed it in Parliament. He called for the end of colonial mindset and new history for India. He dedicated New Parliament to India and Indian citizens. He stated that in future the number of MPs will increase and they needed this building.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated New Parliament Building on 28th May. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh and several Chief Minister have attented the event. Opposition Parties have boycotted the event as PM Narendra Modi inaugurated the building instead of President Draupadi Murumu. The event has been conducted by Government on a large scale. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave first speech in the New Parliament Building.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his speech stated that this New Parliament is a dream of 140 crores Indians. He said that new building has been a requirement for future purposes. He stated that the old building has not been comfortable for all the members of parliament and staff. Hence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that they constructed this one. Sengol has been placed in the New Parliament building.
