Nandamuri Tarakaratna underwent massive heart stroke on 27th January. He joined Nara Lokesh for his Yuvagalam walkathon from Kuppam. He stated that he would be actively campaigning for TDP and will also be active in Politics. Nandamuri Tarakaratna has been immediately shifted to local hospital in Kuppam and upon family request, he has been shifted to Bangalore. At the Narayana Hrudayalaya hospital, Bangalore, Jr. NTR, Kalyanram, Nara Brahmani have visited him, while Nandamuri Balakrishna stayed at the hospital to arrange everything. Nandamuri Tarakaratna health still continues to be critical.
Doctors of Narayana Hrudayalaya have given out a health bulletin and stated that they are doing everything possible to save Nandamuri Tarakaratna. They have stated they have put him under ventilator support and other vital equipments. Hospital has clarified that they did not give him ECMO support, till now. Nandamuri Tarakaratna is in ICU and his health continues to be extremely critical, they have clarified.

Nandamuri Ramakrishna visited Nandamuri Tarakaratna and stated that doctors have been trying everything in their hands and Tarakaratna is also slowly but surely responding to the treatment.
