Congress has been able to win Karnataka Elections, comprehensively. They have won 135 seats and are able to form government on their own. Congress has invited all parties to come together with them against BJP. But will they invite alliances with JD(S) and independent MLAs, we have wait and see. Congress need to now extinguish fire within their party.
Party workers have been divided into two groups. One group is supporters of DK Shivakumar and another group is supporters of Siddaramaiah. Congress has to find a solution that will satisfy both of the groups. DK Shivakumar has rose among the ranks and he played a crucial role in the election of Ahmed Patel to Rajya Sabha. This time around, his popularity among the cadre has reached a new heights. Congress will consider all this before giving him any ministry.

On the other hand, Siddaramaiah joined Congress from Janatha Dal and has worked as Minister and Deputy Chief Minister, Chief Minister for 5 years, as well. He has huge amount of experience in governance. And he would be the first preference for Congress to announce as Chief Minister. Already, Mallikarjun Kharge has asked all congress MLAs to assemble by 5:30 PM at the AICC office.

Congress high command has to be give green signal for an amicable solution like DK Shivakumar being Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister while Siddaramaiah gets to be Chief Minister. Also, both factions will be expecting most of their followers to be in government. Congress has to find the solution fast and apply it quickly, to carry forward the momentum to next states.
