Dhanush is one of the most prominent actors of Indian Cinema. He started his career 20 years ago and step-by-step grew as Internationally popular actor from India. Dhanush worked majorly in Tamil Cinema with occasional Hindi films like Ranjhaana, Shamitabh, Atrangi Re. He entered world cinema with Fakir and special role in Netflix and Russo Brothers’ film The Grey Man. Dhanush has finally decided to take a plunge into Telugu Industry as well, with SIR/ Vaathi.
Venky Atluri, who debuted as an actor and then became a director with Tholiprema, is directing this Tamil-Telugu bilingual. Samyutha Menon is acting as leading lady opposite Dhanush, in the film. Sithara Entertainments is producing the movie with Fortune Four Cinemas. This is their official entry into Tamil movie industry. Dhanush will be seen as a school teacher in the film.

Vaathi/ SIR seems to have dealt with the serious subject in an entertaining commercial screenplay. Dhanush has taken care about Telugu lip sync and his efforts, needs to be appreciated. GV Prakash Kumar music and back ground score are assets to this film, just like Asuran. This is their sixth film and the combination has delivered Aadukalam, Asuran, Mayakkam Enna, Polladhavan kind of superhit albums. Dhanush as written lyrics for two songs from the album.

Well, from the trailer, we can say that the movie has been designed to give meaningful entertainer in the commercial format. Dhanush delivered Asuran, Karnan kind of blockbusters and this can join them. Vaathi/ SIR is releasing on 17th February, 2023 for Mahashivaratri weekend.
