It is also known as ”Shalgam” in India.it is a vegetable with a creamy white color and a purple top. Turnips are among the oldest and hardiest vegetables and are rich in nutrients like calcium, folate, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and Vitamin C You can eat both root and the leafy greens of the vegetable too. Here are why you should add Turnips in your winter diet.

1.Relieves intestinal problems:-

Rich in fibre, it helps reduce pressure and inflammation in the colon. Specifically, high fibre diets are associated with a lower risk of intestinal problems, including diverticulitis (an inflammation or infection in one or more small pouches in the digestive tract).
