Stock Markets Update: Markets fall after Festival

International Markets have been trading with mixed results and that did not help Indian Stock Markets to sustain a good positive start. In the end, BSE lost 168.21 points to close at 60,092.97 and Nifty lost 61.75 points to close at 17,894.85 mark.

Stock Markets on 16th January traded in losses again after Festival. Indian Stock Markets recovered on Friday, before festival but post festival Monday, it again traded in reds as traders chose to sell off. International Markets have been trading with mixed results and that did not help Indian Stock Markets to sustain a good positive start. In the end, BSE lost 168.21 points to close at 60,092.97 and Nifty lost 61.75 points to close at 17,894.85 mark.

BSE Sensex of Stock Markets started trading at 60,550.50 mark and then continued to trade between 59,963.83 to 60,586.77 range. Finally, BSE ended the trading session at 60,092.97 by losing 168.21points. Nifty Sensex of Stock Markets started trading at 18,033.15 mark and it hit highest for the day at
18,049.65. Nifty hit the lowest at 17,853.65. It traded in green during the start of the day and dropped into reds to end at 17,894.85 by losing 61.75 points.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs. 81.57 against US Dollar on Monday. As the festival time ended and more serious discussions on the projections of possible losses and profits to be made in upcoming months, traders might play safe with inflation still not coming under control. International factors are also not that favorable. Indian Stock Markets might see this kind of upswing and downswing in the trading in coming weeks too.
