India and Australia are fighting it out in Border-Gavaskar Trophy in India. Finally, Indian Team management has decided to drop KL Rahul, the out of form opener from Test team. Virat Kohli and Srikar Bharat tried to stem the wicket fall. India from 45/5 tried to slowly recover.
But Todd Murphy got Virat Kohli (22) LBW and Srikar Bharat (17) got out to Nathan Lyon. First Test Batting hero, Ravichandran Ashwin (3) fell for Matthew Kuhnemann. Umesh Yadav went after spinners and smacked quick 17 and became 5th wicket for Matthew Kuhnemann. Mohammed Siraj (0) got run-out to end India score at 109 in 33.2 overs. Matthew Kuhnemann (5/16) got his first 5-wicket haul and Nathan Lyon (3/35), Todd Murphy (1/23) did well for Auatralia. Axar Patel (12) remained not out for India.
In reply to this aggression of Australia, India started their bowling innings with spinners. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja (1/13) started the innings. Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Travis Head and Australia is on 23/1 in 6 overs. The pitch is already keeping low and slow, turning square. It would need super human effort from Australia batsmen to survive on this wicket and more application from India batsmen in second innings.
