IPL Playoffs are going to start from 24th May and the matches will happen in Kolkata. Last two matches will happen in Ahmedabad. That means Final will be held at Ahmedabad while Kolkata will host Qualifier 1 and Eliminator. Qualifier 2 and Final in Ahmedabad.
Rain threat is looming around Kolkata and Gujarat Titans being toppers could go through without any problem if the rain decides to play spoilsport. Assam has received huge rainfall and resultant floods have created havoc in the state. The influence of depression around Kolkata could cause for rain. Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals will fight it out on 24th May. Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, Shubman Gill for Gujarat and Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson and Yashashvi Jaiswal are key for Rajasthan along with Superstar Yuzvendra Chahal.
In other news, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh second Test has taken an interesting turn. Sri Lankan batsmen started off their innings well after bowlers restricted Bangladesh to 365. Captain Dimuth Karunaratne scored 70 and is not out. Another opener Oshada Fernando scored 57 and Kushal Mendis fell to Shakib-ul-Hasan before the stumps. Rajitha who took 5 wickets came as Night Watchman to end the day. Sri Lanka scored 143/2 in 46 overs bowled.
Earlier, Bangladesh batsmen Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das continued their partnership but Das fell early ending record breaking 272 runs effort. Mushfiqur Rahim guided the innings with unbeaten 175. Bangladesh bowlers failed to show any effect on Sri Lankan openers.
