Dhanya Balakrishna has found herself amidst a controversy that she claims to have not started. The popular actress has reportedly posted a controversial post on X, formerly Twitter, degrading Tamil people. In the note, Tamil people have been stated as beggers. who beg for water, utilities and protrayed her as hailing from the place of givers.

Being from Karnataka, Dhanya’s or the words said to be posted by Dhanya, have deeper political complications. The actress has issued a public clarification in a long note stating that she has utmost respect for Tamil people and culture. She never had or have or will have an opinion to degrade Tamil people. She stated that she found success for past 12 years in her career and a family from Tamil land.

Dhanya in her letter stated that she is receiving threats, asbuses and even her family has been dragged into this all. She swore on her mother stating that she did not post that Twitter note. She thanked for the opportunity to star in Lal Salaam, a film starring Rajinikanth, directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth. She apologised to them for her name being associated to this issue and incovenience caused to them due to it.

She stated that she is powerless and hoped that people will see truth in her words. Well, the issue has become a huge controversy as people on social media and even in some media circles are stating that the actress has gone out of line and abused Tamil people as beggers. Hence, she had to give this clarification.
