Pawan Kalyan has put a coma to his films and has decided to concentrate full time on politics. His fans have been highly vocal about his strategies and in their support on social media. He entered into politics in 2014 and announced his party Janasena, after his big brother Megastar Chiranjeevi joined Indian National Congress, dissolving Praja Rajyam Party.
Pawan Kalyan has been active in PRP and he did not like to work with Congress. After state bifurcation, he came up with Janasena, with his single line agenda, “Congress Hathao Desh Bachao”. He did not contest in elections but supported TDP and BJP, who have been in alliance, back in the day, as star campaigner.
But in 2019, he went against BJP and TDP, contesting in all constituencies in AP. Unfortunately, he lost in his MLA constituencies where he contested and decided to go more into public. After 2-3 years, he joined NDA and became a close friend of BJP. As CBN got arrested in Skill Development Scam, he has decided to join hands with TDP and worked hard to set TDP – BJP – JSP alliance.
As part of the alliance, he accepted to take only 25 MLA seats and after BJP joined the coalition, he accepted to take only 21 MLA seats. BJP has taken 10 seats and TDP took huge 144 seats out of 175 seats. BJP took 6 Parliament seats in AP while TDP took 17 and JSP got only 2. This seat share has not been in sync with Pawan Kalyan fans’ aspirations to see their idol as Chief Minister or in a great position in Government.
They wanted 60-70 assembly seats for Janasena and 10 Parliamentary seats going into General Polls. Pawan Kalyan did give an answer stating that when he also lost in previous elections and when they do not have enough strength, they cannot demand but accept what they can get. Still, this new reduction in seats has made major number of fans to take their frustration out on social media.
Some of the fans stated that it would have been better had he just supported TDP and BJP coalition from outside like in 2014. While Pawan Kalyan wants this coalition to come to power by hook or crook against AP CM YS Jagan his fans want to see him as CM, by hook or crook. Well, let’s see how they will go ahead on the polling day and will they vote to their idol and coalition or not.
