Rishabh Pant to make his comeback in TATA IPL 2024

Rishabh Pant has become the next big wicketkeeper batter for India post MS Dhoni’s retirement. He played memorable innings in Tests against Australia in Australia and England in England. His power hitting ability has made him a huge star in IPL but before accident, he started struggling in white ball cricket while he has been sensational in red ball cricket.

The comparison with MS Dhoni has put a huge amount of pressure on him and he used to show it in his play. Combating such unfair comparison with a gigantic star and legend of cricket, he did find a lot of supporters for himself. Unfortunately, he suffered a freak accident while he was driving from an event to his home back in 2022.

Many thought, he might not survive from the accident. He recovered after struggling for 18-19 months and his road to recovery has been quite tough. He found major support from NCA medical team and BCCI. He found support from Indian players too and lately, he has grown even more close to MS Dhoni as well.

Finally, he is ready to make a comeback in TATA IPL 2024. BCCI has made the official announcement regarding this and he has been cleared by NCA medical team as fit to play. He will play for Delhi Capitals, DC as wicketkeeper batter. Will he be their captain or will David Warner continue to captain? We have to wait and see.
