South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh, who has established herself as a leading star in Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam cinema, tied the knot with her longtime friend and Dubai-based businessman Antony Thattill on December 12 in Goa. The wedding was a blend of traditions, reflecting the couple’s diverse backgrounds.
According to reports, the ceremony began with a traditional Brahmin-style wedding in accordance with Keerthy’s family customs. Later, a Christian wedding took place in a church to honor Antony’s faith. For the Hindu ceremony, Keerthy adorned herself as a traditional Hindu bride, showcasing her elegance and devotion to her family’s heritage.
Keerthy, known for her simple and grounded personality, opted for an intimate wedding attended only by close family members and a few friends from the film industry. Notable guests included actors Trisha and Vijay, who made their presence felt at the grand yet understated event.
One of the highlights of the wedding was Keerthy’s bridal saree, which has captured public attention for its elegance and craftsmanship. The madisar silk saree, woven in Kanchipuram, reportedly cost over ₹3 lakh. Made from premium silk threads and featuring intricate golden zari work, the saree is said to have taken around 405 hours to weave. Similarly, Antony’s wedding attire, including his silk dhoti and shawl, required approximately 150 hours of meticulous craftsmanship.
