According to family members, Prakhar returned home on Sunday after writing the UPSC exam. He told his mother that he did not get good marks in the exam. To which his mother advised, “Never mind, you should focus on your next exam.” After that, they didn’t talk to him much.
Mother is crying on the ghat Prakhar’s father Vishnu Gopal died a few years ago, family members said. With his death the responsibilities of the family increased. It is reported that Prakhar is very serious about his studies and is preparing for the UPSC examination.
On Monday morning, a scooter was found parked on the concrete bridge. Eyewitnesses said that a young man was seen jumping into the river Gomati shortly after. Immediately informed the police. Chowk police station police reached the spot and called a team of divers.
The spot where Prakhar jumped into the river was right opposite Hussainabad Inter College where his mother was working as the Vice Principal. Police have also recovered Prakhar’s scooter from the spot. The scooter was later parked in the premises of the post-mortem house.
