Dubai Floods increase concerns about artificial cloud seeding

Sudden Dubai floods raise concerns about cloud seeding and climate change

Dubai is one of the most driest and hottest places on earth. Even its host country UAE – United Arab Emirates, is among the most dry places and Arabian sea is the only source of water for the country. Being in the midde of peak desert, the area has less vegetation and hence, the country has been spending heavy amounts on growing it as a financial and tourist capital of the world.

But suddenly, super heavy rains have struck Dubai and like never before it is flooded, heavily. It received at huge rainfall of 145 Millimeters for the first time and this is gross 1.5 years average rainfall for the city. Many places were and are still submerged in water due to heavy rains. Even the ever busy Dubai Airport had to be shut due to the water logging and many flights have been rerouted.

This stunning change in weather in the desert has risen concerns among meterologists. While they are examining the reasons, they think the storm in Arabian sea and artificial cloud seeding employed by UAE for several years has caused this huge floods. They state that this kind of artificial seeding means tampering with earth’s working atmospheric conditions and that will lead to even bigger consequences.

Ever since UAE has been created, such rainfall and floods have occurred in the region. Hence, this kind of sudden floods are also increasing concerns for climate change experts. If this rainfall might have been an effect of cloud seeding or by natural phenomenon both will be a crucial example for huge climatic change and many more future disastrous consequences warn the experts.
