Rishab Shetty recently won the Best Actor award at the National Awards and currently produces a prequel titled Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1, which also has a significant budget. The shooting schedule for Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 will start at the end of this month, focusing on scenes featuring sword fighting. Rishab undergoes special training in Kalaripayattu and horse riding to prepare for his role.
The story of Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 unfolds in the Kadamba era. Filming will wrap up soon, but visual effects will take about six months to complete. The film is set to release in the summer of 2025. Ajaneesh Loknath composes the music, and Hombale Films produces the project.
