Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill put up a big partnership for India in Rajkot Test

Yashasvi Jaiswal has been consistent at the International level from last one year. He has been getting good opportunities and he has been able to convert them into performances as well. He failed in the first innings of Rajkot Test but made it up with an aggressive century in the second innings.

After Mohammed Siraj and bowlers gave India a lead of 126 runs, Yashasvi Jaiswal took on English bowlers. Rohit Sharma scored century in the first innings but could not repeat the same in the second. He got out after scoring 19 runs from 28 balls. Shubman Gill, who failed in the first innings also came good in the second.

He joined Jaiswal to put up a partnership of 155 runs for the second wicket until Jaiswal couldn’t resume his innings due to injuries. He got retired hurt and he might resume his innings later on 4th Day, if required. He scored 104 runs from 133 balls milking English bowlers in the hot sun. Shubman Gill remained not out with a good half century to his name.

He scored 65 runs from 120 balls and Kuldeep Yadav came out as night watchman and he is not out on 3. They both will resume innings on the 4th Day morning. Rajat Patidar failed yet again and got duck out. India scored 196/2 and have a lead of 322 runs. India would be pressing to score over 450 as they do not have Ashwin’s services for the rest of the match.
