Stock Markets Update: Indices continue to trade in gains

Stock Markets registered gains for consecutive sessions

Stock Markets continued to trade in gains on 16th February, 2024. Traders continued to invest in big stocks as International Stock Markets have also ended in profits. After a long time, the indices ended with gains for consecutive sessions. NSE ended over 22,000 mark and BSE maintained 72,000 mark. BSE gained 376.26 points to close at 72,426.64 and Nifty gained 129.95 points to close at 22,040.70 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading at 72,406.02 and then continued to trade between 72,218.10 – 72,545.33. Index started above the previous closing and kept trading in the same region without many disruptions. While it oscillated mid-session, it re-gained all the lost profits within the session. Hence, BSE ended the trading session at 72,426.64 by gaining 376.26 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,020.30 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,068.65. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,968.95. Index started above 22,000 mark and kept oscillating above and below the mark. Finally, Nifty50 ended by gaining 129.95 points on 22,040.70.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.01 against US Dollar on 16th February, 2024. Wipro, Mahindra & Mahindra, L&T, Maruthi Suzuki, Tata Motors shares have become biggest gainers in this session. Powergrid corporation, NTPC, SBI, Reliance, Axis Bank shares have ended up losing the most. Stock Markets finally broke the alternative gains & losses pattern. Let’s hope this trend continues.
