Virat Kohli withdrew from first Two Tests against England

Virat Kohli, the greatest amongst current generation cricketers and bidding to be an all-time great in his own right, has decided to withdram from first two Tests against England. He did not give reasons about why did he so. BCCI in an official press release stated that he has sited personal reasons. England Tests will start from 25th January.

His fans are highly disappointed with his decision. He has been on the course to imprint his name in Tests as well, as one of the highest run scorers. In CWC 2023, he crossed Sachin Tendulkar’s record number of centuries and he got gravely disappointed that India lost in the final. With a long Home season of Tests and T20I CWC 2024 ahead, his presence in the team has become vital.

He and Rohit Sharma took a break from playing cricket post the loss but played in South Africa Tests. Virat Kohli did show his class in vital second Test. But then against Afghanistan in recently concluded T20Is, he failed to score at the level, he would prefer. In the past, he never missed out on opportunities to play for the nation that too at Test level.

So, the speculations about rift in family and rumors about his wife, Anushka Sharma’s second pregnancy are going around the social media. Several senior cricketers and commentators have expressed their disbelief in Virat Kohli taking such a decision. While many wished that he would come out of the issues that he could be facing, soon.
