Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill score centuries to propel Indian score to unassailable lead

Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal took on English bowlers on Day 1 after Kuldeep Yadav and Ashwin bowled out England for 218 in Dharamsala Test. Shubman Gill looked in great form and took on the spinners. He and Rohit continued their dominance on bowlers in the morning session of Day 2. Gill took on even James Anderson and hit him to a sensational straight six.

Rohit Sharma completed 100 in 154 balls with 13 fours and 3 sixes. Later, Shubman Gill completed his 100 in 137 balls with 10 fours and 5 sixes. Both of them have put on 171-runs partnership and Rohit Sharma(103) and Shubman Gill(110) got out in the gap of 4 runs. Gill got out to a beauty from James Anderson.

On his debut, Devdutt Padikkal also took on bowlers fearlessly like Sarfaraz Khan. Coincidentally, both of them have come together in this match and they kept pushing for runs. For the 4th wicket, they both have put on 97-runs before Sarfaraz Khan(56) got out after scoring an aggressive half-century. Devdutt Padikkal(65) fell after India crossed 400 at 403/6.

4th Test batting hero, Dhruv Jurel(15) could not score much and Ravindra Jadeja(15) also could not score much. India ended the fruitful day at 473/8 and Kuldeep Yadav(27), Jasprit Bumrah(19) are still playing. India has attained an unassailable lead with 255 runs already and England players seem to have already given up.
