Sunil Narine has been a legend for Kolkata Knight Riders, KKR, in IPL over the seasons. He has been their trusted player and the man has delivered some stunning performances for the team. Now, he has been playing more as a bowler than a pinch hitter like he did few years, ago. He has left RCB with nightmares in IPL 2017 in a popular match and he did the same again in IPL 2024 against them.
RCB wanted to win at home against KKR but the team has once again left them with another disappointment. While winning or losing is part of the game, the way KKR played in the match, especially, Sunil Narine, left them with scars again. KKR has decided to field and RCB struggled find an aggressive opening like they wanted. Faf du Plessis got out early by just scoring 8 runs.

Virat Kohli stayed at the crease from first ball to last one. He looked fluent against pace bowlers but against spinners he struggled to score quickly. Big hitters like Cameron Green(33) and Glenn Maxwell(28) could not convert their starts to big scores. Dinesh Karthik(20) scored quickly in the final overs and Virat Kohli scored a good 83 runs fromm 59 balls. RCB scored 182/6 in 20 overs.

Onlookers and experts thought the pitch is slow and KKR needs a huge aggressive start. Sunil Narine with an innings of 47 runs from 22 balls gave a huge start to KKR innings. Phil Salt also looked in great touch again with 30 from 20 balls. Venkatesh Iyer(50) and Shreyas Iyer(39) took KKR home. KKR scored 186/3 and won the match by 7 wickets with 19 balls remaining.
