Australia Women decimate India Women in the third ODI

Australia Women dominated India Women in white ball cricket as anticipated. They have faced good competition in the second ODI but decimated India in third ODI. Opening batters Alyssa Healy and Phoebe Litchfield have come together to put up a big partnership of 189 for first wicket after winning the toss and choosing to bat first. After two disappoints, Captain Alyssa Healy has come good in the third one.

Without giving Indian spinners, a chance to dominate them, both of them kept batting aggressively from start. Phoebe has continued her good form in the series for consecutively third match. She went on to score a century. She made 119 off 125 balls and Alyssa Healy missed out on her century as she got on 82. Ashleigh Gardner(30), Annabel Sutherland(23) and Alana King(26) took Australia score beyond 300.

They scored 338/7 in 50 overs. Shreyanka Patil(3/57) and Amanjot Kaur(2/70) took most of the wickets for India. In the chase, Indian batters started off aggressively but no one could go on to put up a big partnership. Smriti Mandhana scored 29 off 29 balls and she remained the highest scorer for India. Jemimah Rodrigues(25) and Deepti Sharma(25) could only score above 20’s in this innings.

India Women got bowled out for 148 runs in 32.4 overs. Australia Women won the match by 190 runs and the series by 3-0. Georgia Wareham(3/23), Annabel Sutherland(2/9), Alana King(2/21) and Megan Schutt(2/23) took most wickets for Australia. Phoebe Litchfield for her century got Player of the match and for consistency & scoring 260 runs she got Player of the Series award, too.
