AP CM YS Jagan has walked out of Congress in 2012 and started his own political party YSRCP. He won in 2019 AP elections and formed government there. He fought in 2014 Assembly elections in Telangana but decided not to in 2023. YS Sharmila, his sister, had some disagreements with him and she started YSRTP in Telangana. She supported Congress in recent Telangana Assembly Elections.
Congress won the elections and Revanth Reddy has become CM of Telangana. Now, the rumours have been afloat that YS Sharmila win join Congress. She clarified to media on 2nd January about the same. She stated that she got invitation to join Congress and she is going to Delhi, to meet main party leaders of INC. She stated that soon, she will clearly state about how she will work in Congress.
She confirmed that she will working with Congress for sure in future. She did not talk about her brother YS Jagan or his stance against INC. She stated that she sacrificed fighting in elections and helped Congress to win. She stated that she also campaigned for the party’s success and that is what attracted senior leadership of Congress.
She classified Congress has a party with great legacy and senior-most one. YS Sharmila called that she is happy to be joining the party with great legacy. She further stated that she will confirm all the details about her involvement in the party, soon.
