AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu reacted immediately as the news about Atchutapuram Explosion surfaced. He ordered for a probe by expert committee into Reactor Explosion at a pharmaceutical company in the Atchutapuram SEZ area in Anakapalli. Reports suggest that more than 16 people have been killed in the blast while over 50 people got severely injured.
Chandrababu Naidu has been conducting regular meetings with officials to get updates regarding the rescue operations from time to time. Going into the details, in the afternoon time on 21st August, reactor exploded in the Escentia Advanced Science Limited pharma company located in Pharma SEZ, Atchutapuram. Due to sudden explosion majority of workers felt the impact say eye witnesses.
Due to the explosion, first floor slab collapsed wounding and killing several workers. AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu expressed shock and grief to the victims as soon as the news came out. He has been conducting meetings with higher officials to determine the reasons behind the explosion. After overlooking rescue operations, he order a detailed report with a high level committee probe into the incident.
Rescue operations have found major hassle in the form of smoke from the reactor. Air Ambulances have also being used for quicker transfer of victims to hospitals. As we speak, District Collector and Superindent of Police are overlooking the rescue operations late in the night, too. Nara Chandrababu Naidu has decided to visit the Atchutapuram SEZ and talk to victims on Thursday. He could announce compensation for victims post his visit.
