Indians hold a deep attachment to the story of the Ramayana and its characters. As a sacred text, especially for those who practice Hinduism, the Ramayana demands a respectful approach when retelling or reinterpreting its narrative, unlike Valmiki’s original version.
Filmmakers have adapted the Ramayana numerous times into films and TV serials in various languages. This time, director Nitish Tiwari aims to bring the Ramayana to the silver screen with advanced technology and visual effects, striving to present the story more brilliantly than ever before. He is co-producing the film with Allu Aravind.

The film stars Ranbir Kapoor as Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana. With the project already generating buzz, the filmmakers plan to start regular shooting soon. Bollywood director Mukesh Chhabra recently explained why he chose Ranbir Kapoor for the role of Lord Ram.
Chhabra highlighted that the actor playing Ram must embody serenity, a quality he sees naturally in Ranbir Kapoor. Having worked with Ranbir on several films, Chhabra believes Ranbir is the perfect choice for the role of Ram. “No one can play Ram better than Ranbir,” Chhabra stated, noting that Ranbir’s acting ability and demeanor make him an ideal fit for the role.
Film analysts also predict that Sai Pallavi will excel in portraying the compassion and grace required for the role of Goddess Sita. With this talented cast, the film promises to offer a fresh and captivating take on the timeless epic.
