Oppenheimer swept BAFTAs with seven awards

“Oppenheimer” has been the talk of the award season from the moment the season took off. Golden Globes have been the first to honor the film about “Father of Atomic Bomb” Robert J. Oppenheimer. The movie became an instant classic, upon release, with great critical acclaim and huge box office returns. Movie has become the biggest blockbuster in biopics.

Christopher Nolan delivered a movie that everyone loved to watch at a theatre from a subject matter that most of the filmmakers might have approached as serious drama about discovering Atom Bomb. Rather Nolan managed to inspire a conversation about the brutality that Atomic nuclear energy can inflict when used as a destructive force.

At the EE British Academy of Film wards, commonly known as BAFTAs, “Oppenheimer” showcased its dominance once again. The movie won seven awards, including, Best Film, Best Actor, Best Director, Best Supporting Actor, Best Cinematography, Best Original Score and Best Editing. Christopher Nolan won his first BAFTA as the director, even though he had been nominated earlier for Dunkrik and Inception.
