Stock Markets continued to trade in gains on 19th February 2024, as well. FMCG and Energy sector stocks attracted major investments from traders while others traded flat. International Stock Markets did not have major effect on this session. Hence, BSE gained 281.52 points to close at 72,708.16 and Nifty gained 81.55 points to close at 22,122.25 mark.
BSE Sensex started trading at 72,627.60 and then continued to trade between 72,308.68 – 72,881.93. Index started trading at a healthy mark and it continued to do so. There have been several oscillations but none seemed too odd or gratifying. Hence, BSE ended the trading session at 72,708.16 by gaining 281.52 points.
Nifty Sensex started trading at 22,103.45 mark and it hit its highest for the day at 22,186.65. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 22,021.05. Index started above 22,100 mark and kept osciallting above 22,150 and below the 22,050 mark. The session did not have major upswings or downtrends. Hence, Nifty50 ended by gaining 81.55 points on 22,122.25.
Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.02 against US Dollar on 19th February, 2024. Grasim, Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Auto, Bharathi Airtel, ICICI Bank, Cipla have been among the Top Gainers. Coal India, SBI Life Insurance, L&T, Wipro, HDFC Life have become the top losers. Stock Markets maintained the gains and that is a welcome change to previous weeks’ patterns.
