During a seance session with Buddist Monks, she is requested by Demonte Colony’s Srinivas(Arul Nithi) to help her. She finds a person who looks exactly like Srinivas, his twin brother Raghunandan. Debbie finds out that if one of them dies, other one will too. Why? What is the connection between them? Watch Demonte Colony 2 to know more.

Analysis:
Priya Bhavani Shankar seems to have been given a brief to overact in every scene. At times, she does more than required. On the other hand, Arul Nithi has improved from his Demonte Colony days. Arun Pandian, Muthukumar did their best in the roles offered. Overall though, none of the performances leave an impact.

The problem lies in new characters not being well fleshed out and concentration being more on connections with first part. While the story did needed to be continued, the fresh additions needed to stay with us as well. Also, the writing doesn’t really inspire as much as the first part. A fun, simple horror film has been turned into a mystical mess.

The transformation needed to be seamless and perfect for this continuation to work big time. Everything looks flimsy and not as convincing as the first one. Sam CS thundering background score does evoke some chills but the visual drama also needed much balanced writing. On the whole, Demonte Colony 2 ends up being a watchable film with huge issues.

Positives:
Visuals
Connections with first part
Sam CS Background score
Arul Nithi performance
