A key conversation took place between US President Trump and Russian President Putin amid tensions in the Middle East. Kremlin aide Yuri Ushakov said the two had a 90-minute phone call.
Mainly the situation in Iran and Persian Gulf tensions were discussed. Putin supported Trump’s decision to continue the ceasefire with Iran. But Putin warned that if America and Israel take military action again, there will be serious consequences. He warned that this is not only limited to Iran, it will cause damage to the whole world. Putin made it clear that Russia will provide full diplomatic cooperation to resolve the tensions.
On this occasion, the two leaders also discussed the war in Ukraine. Putin explained to Trump the current situation while the war that started in 2022 is still going on. He said that the Russian army is in the strategic lead. It is reported that the two leaders have criticized the leadership of President Zelensky of Ukraine. It is believed that the war is being prolonged with the support of Europe.
Putin said he was ready for a temporary ceasefire on Victory Day on May 9. It is reported that Trump also supported this proposal. Victory Day is celebrated on 9th May every year. A huge parade will be held in Moscow to commemorate the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
