Rajasthan Royals captain Riyan Parag has been fined for indiscipline during the IPL 2026 season. During the match against Punjab Kings, he was caught on camera using an e-cigarette in the dressing room. The BCCI has taken these steps for violating the sports rules and damaging the reputation of the game. Parag admitted his mistake and was penalized by match referee Amit Sharma. Ryan Parag not only took a 25 percent cut in the match fee, but also assigned one demerit point. According to Article 2.21 of the IPL Code of Conduct, it is an offense to do anything that disturbs the dignity of the game. This includes using vape in the dressing room.

A few days ago, Rajasthan Royals team manager Romy Bhinder was also fined Rs 1 lakh for violating the rules and using a phone in the dugout. BCCI is thinking of taking more strict measures against the Rajasthan Royals team and officials as such incidents are happening consecutively. On this occasion, the board made it clear that the players should be disciplined on the field untill the match got finished and also they should be role models for the youth. This matter came to light after Parag’s videos went viral on social media.
