Stock Markets continue their downtrend in new year

Stock Markets continued the huge downtrend on 03rd January, 2024. Traders have put huge selling pressure on Markets and that resulted in huge downtrend. International Stock Markets have also treaded in losses and that also added to this downfall. Hence, BSE lost 535.88 points to close at 71,356.60 and Nifty lost 148.45 points to close at 21,517.35 mark.

BSE Sensex started trading lower than previous closing at 71,832.62 mark and then continued to trade between 71,862.00 to 71,303.97 range. Index lost almost 560 points in one session. Towards the end, few stocks attracted investments still it did not recover much. Hence, BSE ended the trading session at 71,356.60 by losing 535.88 points.

Nifty Sensex started trading at 21,661.10 mark and it hit highest for the day at 21,677.00. Nifty50 hit the lowest at 21,500.35. Index dipped from the starting hour and it continued to dip all session. Index lost over 170 points and recovered slightly towards the end. Hence, Nifty50 ended by losing 148.45 points on 21,517.35.

Indian Rupee traded at Rs.83.29 against US Dollar on 03rd January, 2024. Adani group shares saw rally with Supreme Court stating that they won’t involve in SEBI investigation. Bajaj Automobile is thinking about buying back their shares and they will announce their decision on 8th January. Stock Markets might continue this freefall for few more sessions.
