Mohammed Siraj shines for India in bowling SA for their lowest total ever

India have equaled the T20I series and won the ODI series against South Africa. Now, they are playing Tests and they lost the first one. The second Test at Capetown started on 3rd January. In the first Test, Indian bowlers failed to restrict SA batters and the team lost the test by an innings & 32 runs.

South Africa have won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Test. Mohammed Siraj has bowled aggressive lines and swung the ball, in helpful conditions. He sent back Aiden Markram, Dean Elgar before innings completed 6 overs. Jasprit Bumrah sent back Tristan Stubbs with a short ball.

Immediately, Mohammed Siraj sent back Tony de Zorzi and reduced SA to 15/4. David Bedingham has scored 12 runs and looked to counter-attack. But Siraj sent him and Marco Jansen in the same over. He took 5 wickets by bowling 8 overs on the trot. In his next over, he got Kyle Verreynne who scored 15 runs. With his sensational spell he has rocked SA on to the backfoot at 45/7.

Mukhesh Kumar and Jaspirt Bumrah took next three wickets and dismissed SA for 55 before lunch. This is South Africa’s lowest total in Tests. And this is lowest total for any team against India as well. Mohammed Siraj(6/15), Mukesh Kumar(2/0) and Jasprit Bumrah(2/25) took all the wickets for India. Well, India has huge advantage to win the second Test with a big margin.
