Veteran actor Chiranjeevi is once again stepping forward to support the Telugu film industry (TFI) during a difficult time. Ever since the passing of legendary filmmaker Dasari Narayana Rao, many have looked up to Chiranjeevi as a guiding figure within the industry. Despite his busy schedule, he never hesitates to get involved when there’s a serious issue.
Right now, the industry is facing a major dispute between film producers and cine workers (crew members and technicians). The workers are asking for a 30% increase in their wages, but producers say they can’t afford it due to rising production costs. Because of this disagreement, many film shoots have come to a halt.
A few producers recently met with Chiranjeevi to explain their side of the story. They told him that paying more salaries on top of already high production expenses would be too much of a burden. Chiranjeevi listened patiently and said he would observe how things unfold over the next couple of days before taking any action.
He also made it clear that if the issue isn’t resolved soon, he would step in and suggest a solution — and that everyone should be ready to accept whatever decision he makes. However, so far, only the producers have spoken to Chiranjeevi. The workers’ union is expected to meet him soon to share their perspective. Chiranjeevi has said he will listen to both sides before making any final decision.
Everyone is now waiting to see what solution he will offer. Whatever it is, people hope it will be fair to both sides and help get the industry back on track. With shoots on pause and tensions rising, all eyes are on Chiranjeevi to bring balance back to TFI.
