Virat Kohli and his wife actress Anushka Sharma have announced the birth of their second child on 20th February 2024. Virat took leave of absence from ongoing England Test series after he got to know that Anushka is due. He has her side while she is giving birth to their second child.
They have announced the name of their second child. They welcomed baby boy after girl, Vamika, their first child. Virat and Anushka have revealed the name of the baby boy as Akaay. Virat maintained privacy and did not reveal the reason for his absence from the ongoing important series.
The most popular couple have revealed that the baby boy was born on 15th February 2024. AB de Villiers revealed long ago that Virat and Anushka were expecting their second child and hence, Virat took absence from playing in the England series. But Virat has not given any reason till date.

Virat Kohli will join his IPL team, Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2024 after this absence. As he would be spending a month with his new born baby and wife Anushka, he would be ready to play in IPL, say reports. Some reports also state that he might extend leave till first leg of the IPL and join in the second leg post the general elections.
