KKR took on Delhi Capitals at the Vizag on 3rd April. They won the toss and elected to bat first on a pitch that assists batters. KKR openers took two overs to find the rhythm. But then Sunil Narine once again unleashed the beast inside him against DC bowlers. He found great support in young Angkrish Raghuvanshi after the dismissal of Phil Salt(18).

Sunil Narine scored 85 runs off 39 balls and Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 54 off 27 balls. Both of them took the score past 160 in just 12 overs. After their dismissal, Andre Russell started hitting and he scored 41 runs off 19 balls. Rinku Singh scored 26 runs off just 6 balls to push score to never seen highs. KKR looked certain to break SRH’s 277 record highest total.

But in the last over, Ishanth Sharma splendidly controlled the scoring and KKR ended up with second highest IPL total ever at 272/7 in 20 overs. In the impossible chase, DC lost wickets in the powerplay to Mitchell Starc and Vaibhav Arora. David Warner(18), Mitchell Marsh(0) and Abishek Porel(0) fell trying to score as qucikly as they can.

Rishabh Pant showcased his great hitting form by scoring 55 runs off just 25 balls and Tristan Stubbs scored impressive 54 runs off 32 balls. But DC could not score more than 240 like MI and got bowled out for 166 in 17.2 overs. Varun Chakravarthy(3/33) got as many wickets as Vaibhav Arora(3/27) in the KKR bowling effort. KKR won the match by 106 runs and with a big boost to NRR took No.1 position in the table. Angkrish Raghuvanshi remains to be another great find of KKR like Rinku Singh.
