ICC has announced T20I CWC 2024 fixtures on 5th January. The CWC is going to be held for the first time outside traditional hosts in USA along with Caribbean Islands or West Indies. The tournament will be held from 1st June to 29th June across 3 venues in USA and 6 venues in Caribbean Islands. Total 20 teams are participating and they will play 55 matches.

India, Pakistan, USA, Canada and Ireland are part of Group A. India and Pakistan match will be held on 9th June at New York. India and Pakistan group match in 2022 has been a great classic. We can expect something similar this time around too.

ICC is expecting new viewership with new participants in the World Cup. Also, with T20 cricket gaining popularity, ICC wants to take cricket to other countries as well as a popular sport apart from traditional teams.

West Indies has been one of the prominent teams in T20I cricket. England with big hitters is growing and has even won the 2022 CWC. Australia, South Africa with global T20 leagues are looking to produce great T20 players. India with IPL has been producing bright cricketers in T20 space and they would be expecting to win the title this time around as they never won post the inaugural 2007 title.
