David Warner has retired from T20 International Cricket and Test Cricket, recently. He also decided to retire One Day Internationals post CWC 2023 victory. He made an announcement that he is available for 2025 ODI Champions Trophy, even after retiring. But Australian Cricket Board announced that they are not considering Warner for ODI Champions Trophy.
George Bailey, the head of selectors, stated that they consider David Warner fully retired. And he also stated that they cannot completely say when Bull’s joking and stirring the pot a bit. For now, George Bailey clarified that they want to move ahead considering Warner retired and unavailable for the trophy in Pakistan.

Bailey also opined that while Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Starc are a certain for 2025 trophy, they cannot be certain about 2026 T20I World Cup. On the other hand, David Warner had a very forgettable IPL 2024 tournament. So, which franchise will buy him in the upcoming IPL Mega Auction, needs to be seen. Delhi Capitals might not be so open to retain him.
