David Warner bids an emotional adieu to Test Cricket

David Warner has played his last Test innings in his ususal aggressive way on 6th January at SCG, Sydney. Australia has given a memorable goodbye with 3-0 clean sweep against Pakistan. Earlier, Australia bowlers bowled Pakistan all-out for 115 in their second innings. Australia had to chase 129 runs to win the test and they scored 130/2.

David Warner did not get his fairytale complete by scoring the winning run but he helped his team to win the Test. Usman Khawaja got out for a duck in the first over. Then Warner and Marnus Labuschagne have put on 119 runs to kill all the early nerves. David Warner scored 57 runs from 75 balls and Labuschagne scored 62 runs from 73 balls.

Post the chase, Australian players have dedicated the victory to Warner. He got emotional during presentation. He thanked his wife, Candice and his brother for their unconditional support. Pat Cummins, Australia Captain, became Player of the Series and stated that they will try to spend as much time with Warner, as a group before he returns to his home.

Aamer Jamal has won Player of the Match award for his all-round performance. SCG as put up “Thanks Davey” sign on the ground to make it even more memorable for him. Well, for the memories he has given and kind of inspiration, he has left us with, we should also say, “Thanks Davey”.
