Bangladesh has made a significant mark in Test cricket, achieving a historic victory amid ongoing protests and riots in the country. In a remarkable performance, Bangladesh won the two-Test series against Pakistan 2-0. This is the first time Bangladesh has won a Test series on Pakistani soil.

In the second Test, held in Rawalpindi, Bangladesh secured a victory by 6 wickets. Resuming play on the fifth day with an overnight score of 42/0, chasing 185 runs, the team reached the target in 56 overs, losing 4 wickets. Key contributions came from openers Zakir Hasan (40) and Shadman Islam (24), along with Nazmul Hossain Shanto (38), Mominul Haque (34), Mushfiqur Rahim (22*), and Shakib Al Hasan (21*). For Pakistan, Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim, Mohammad Hafeez, and Shadab Khan each took one wicket.

In the first innings, India scored 274 runs. Bangladesh struggled initially, losing six wickets for just 26 runs. However, Liton Das (138) and Mehedi Hasan Miraz (78) rescued the team, helping them post 262 runs. In Pakistan’s second innings, they were bowled out for 172, thanks to impressive performances by Hasan Mohammad (5/43) and Naheed Rana (4/44). Notable contributions from Salman Agha (47 not out) and Mohammad Rizwan (43) ensured Pakistan reached that total. Without their efforts, Pakistan might not have reached that score.
