VIT-AP University Celebrates Athletic Excellence at the VITOPIA 2026 Annual Sports Awards

Amaravati, February 22, 2026: The prize distribution ceremony for the Vitopia 2026 annual sports competitions concluded grandly on February 22, 2026, at VIT-AP University. Arjuna Awardee Jyothi Yarraji (Athletics) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. The winners of various sporting events received their awards at the hands of the Chief Guest, who also inspired the students by participating in the 5K Marathon held in the morning.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest congratulated the winners of Vitopia 2026. She emphasized that to achieve success in life, one must move forward by facing challenges and problems head-on. She shared her personal journey, noting that despite coming from an ordinary family and facing numerous hurdles, she reached the level of winning gold at the Asian Games through sheer mental strength.

Vice-Chancellor I/c Dr. P. Arulmozhivarman remarked, “At VIT-AP, we believe that academic excellence and physical fitness go hand-in-hand. Events like Vitopia are essential for cultivating an environment of excellence and innovation, ensuring our students develop the resilience needed to make a real-world impact.
Registrar Dr. Jagadish Chandra Mudiganti added, “Our goal is to mould the leaders of tomorrow by fostering a culture of teamwork and discipline. Seeing our students compete with such sportsmanship reinforces our commitment to their holistic growth and future success.

In the evening, the Pro-Show featured electrifying musical performances by Mohana Bhogaraju, the Abdul Wahab Band, and DJ Notorious, which enthralled the audience.

The event was attended by VIT-AP University Vice-Chancellor I/c Dr. P. Arulmozhivarman, Registrar Dr. Jagadish Chandra Mudiganti, Dr. S. Gopi Krishnan (Vitopia Convenor), Dr. Khadeer Pasha (Deputy Director of Student Welfare), as well as students, faculty, special invitees, guests, and staff.
