Amaravati, April 24, 2026: The Fourth International Conference on Advances in Mechanical Engineering & Material Science (ICAMEMS 2026) was successfully held at VIT-AP University, Amaravati from 22nd to 23rd April 2026. . The event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Mr. Anjan Kumar Panda, Principal Consultant : Turbo Machinery and Plant Engineering at Infosys Limited, Mysore and Dr. Dr. Suryanarayana Jammalamadakaand, Professor at IIT Hyderabad as the Guest of Honour.    Dr. Ambuj Sharma, Co-Convenor of the Conference extended warm welcome to all the guests and participants for the inaugural ceremony. The Convenor of the Conference and Dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering at VIT-AP University, Dr. Dillip Kumar Mohanty, expressed his gratitude to all participants for their enthusiastic involvement. Dr. Mohanty shared insights into the progress of the conference series and focussed on the impactful contributions of the conference in providing an unique platform for researchers across the globe on various aspects of mechanical engineering and material science. He expressed sincere gratitude to the Founder and Chancellor, Dr. G. Viswanathan, Vice-Chanceloor Prof. P Arul Mozhivarman and the Registrar, Dr. Jagadish C. Mudiganti for their constant support and encouragement in promoting excellence in education, research, and innovation.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. Suryanarayan enlightened the significance of mechanical engineering and material science in the development of any technology. He explained the essence of cryogenic technology in resolving the issues corresponding to transfer of heat in quantum computing applications. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. P Arul Mozhivarman highlighted that the mechanical engineering and material science plays a major role in the field of robotics, automation, quantum technology, artificial intelligence and innovation in any level of healthcare. He also mentioned the modern developments in clean energy system, smart materials, nano technology and light weight structure. He advised for integrated engineering solutions through multidisciplinary analysis, appropriate networking. The Chief Guest, Mr. Panda captivated the audience with his thought-provoking talk on applications of mechanical engineering and material characteristics in various aerospace applications. During his address, Mr. Panda emphasized the importance of interdisciplinary knowledge in modern technology development and industrial applications. The conference also featured contributions from international collaborators, including representatives from Auckland University of Technology, New Zealand, and Robert Gordon University, UK, reflecting its global outreach. The conference brought together leading researchers, academicians, and industry professionals from across the globe to discuss recent advancements in mechanical engineering and material science.
