Amaravati, February 21, 2026: VITOPIA-2026, the grand four-day annual sports and cultural festival, was officially inaugurated today at the VIT-AP University campus. Running from February 21st to 24th, the event promises a spectacular showcase of talent, sporting spirit, and cultural diversity.
The festivities commenced with Vasudaikam, a massive state-wise ethnic rally. Students representing various states across India i.e Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and the North-eastern States countries like Srilanka, Nepal,Ghana,Cameroon etc participated in the rally in traditional attire. The campus was transformed into a vibrant spectacle as participants performed regional dances, celebrating the “Unity in Diversity” that defines the university’ cosmopolitan culture.
Speaking at the inauguration Dr.P. Arulmozhivarman, Vice-Chancellor of VIT-AP University, emphasized the importance of holistic development. “VIT-AP University has always been a place where students are encouraged to explore beyond academics. Events like VITOPIA-2026 provide a vital platform for students to express their creativity and hone their leadership skills. I am confident that this year’s edition will exceed all expectations and create lasting memories for everyone involved,” he stated.
Reinforcing the university’s commitment to student excellence, Dr. Jagadish Chandra Mudiganti, Registrar of VIT-AP University, noted the collaborative effort behind the festival. “The energy witnessed today during the Vasudaikam rally is a testament to the vibrant campus life we cultivate here. VITOPIA is not just a festival; it is a bridge that connects different cultures and disciplines. We are proud to see our students and staff working in unison to host an event of such grand scale and cultural significance,” he said.
The inaugural ceremony saw participation from Dr. Gopi Krishnan (VITOPIA Convener), Dr. Khadeer Pasha (Deputy Director of Student Welfare), along with faculty, staff, and a massive gathering of enthusiastic students.
